Ommegang is one of the most famous Belgian national events. It’s a historical reenactment of the welcoming of Emperor Charles V in 1549. During the Ommegang, 1,400 participants walk the streets of Brussels from Grand Sablon to Grand Place, in reconstructing this major cultural traditions.

01. The Request

Ommegang wanted a website to represent and support the national dimension of the event. Nevertheless, the primary objective of the website was to increase the amount of pre-sale ticket purchases.

02. Our Response

We have created a contemporary website, representing the uniqueness of Ommegang that intrigues users to try the experience.

03. The results

We have reinvented the image of Ommegang by applying a new content strategy that included cross-media content, with videos and graphics enhanced by a careful set of CTAs that captivate the users and lead them through the desired funnels. We also established a successful online ticket booking system, due to being user friendly and time-efficient.
